Words come on the screen, "LIFE IS SHORT. HAVE AN AFFAIR!" Are you kidding me? I realize that many ads on television these days are directed towards the sexual side of a person, but I never thought that I would see a television commercial for a cheating website. My instinct, of course, was to pull up this website and see for myself. I found out that this really was not a joke, and this site really does set people up for an affair. It says that it is the worlds premiere discreet dating service. I was astounded by this. I thought that there was no way this was real. It had to be a joke right? Once again, it wasn't joke. AshleyMadison.com really helps people cheat on their spouses. I hope I am not the only one who feels this way.

Have an affair discreetly?
I recently saw a commercial for a website called AshleyMadison.com. I did not know what I was watching at first. I thought that it was simply a joke commercial. The man wakes up, puts on his clothes, and walks down the stairs looking like he is trying to impress someone. Halfway down the stairs, he sees a picture of a woman in a wedding dress (his wife) with too much lipstick on (not looking very attractive I might add). His expression turns from ready to go, to I hate my life. What follows is even more disturbing.

That's insane. I went to the site and saw the little sign that said "as seen on Dr. Phil" and googled it. I found the show's discussion board from August 2005 when they aired the topic and the founder of the site. While it's unbelievable that these sites are made in the first place, it's even worse that so many people subscribe to it. Why would you even get married if you're willing to go so far out of your way to meet someone? It's sick.
This is crazy. What does this reflect on our society as a whole when we now encourage affairs. I agree completely with the blogger above, why would you even et married. Just be real with yourself. If you are not committed in a relationship, GET OUT OF IT. Stop pretending. It's bad enough that our nation is associated with violence and obesity, now we want to adultery to that list? That's ridiculous!
I am not surprised by this in any way. People now in days are not as committed to marriages as they used to be. The divorce rate is way up as we all know, and that probably is influenced by sites like this. Americans today have no morals and see nothing wrong with things like this.
